Girl, 14, Charged With Murdering 4-Year-Old Cousin
A 14-year-old girl found covered in blood on an Indianapolis street was charged in the murder of her 4-year-old cousin, police said.
Indianapolis police accuse the girl of stabbing to death her cousin, Leon Thomas III. The boy was killed on Saturday night at an apartment where his 11-year-old sister and grandparents were also present, Indianapolis police spokesman Kendale Adams said, Reuters reported.
Officers were called about 11 p.m. Saturday to the apartment, where they found the bleeding boy. Officers and paramedics tried to revive the child, but he was later pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said, The Indianapolis Star reported.
The girl was found, covered in blood, walking on a nearby street, the newspaper reported.
